Louis John “Lou” Barletta (born January 28, 1956 in Hazelton, Pennsylvania, age 64) was the Republican U.S. Representative from Pennsylvania's 11th congressional district from 2011 to 2019, defeating 25-year Democratic incumbent Paul Kanjorski. A vocal critic of illegal immigration and a strong conservative, Barletta had previously served as Mayor of Hazleton, Pennsylvania.
