IMDb profile |
Left Behind is a 2000 independent Christian film adapting the first book in the popular Left Behind series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins. The film was first released on video and then in theatres. It received mostly negative reviews from critics, typical for most Christian films.
Two notable Christian ministers have cameo roles in the film:
- John Hagee, as a passenger on an airplane during which the Rapture takes place (Hagee actively promoted the film upon its release)
- TD Jakes, as the narrator in a film produced before the Rapture (for the benefit of those "left behind") about what would happen next and how to survive.
