Latvian Gambit
From Conservapedia
The Latvian Gambit (previously known as the Greco Countergambit) is a aggressive gambit by Black of a weak-side pawn as follows:
1. e4 e5
2. Nf3 f5?!
This has been called the worst of all classical openings, but has supporters who enjoy the challenging tactical dilemmas which ensue.
Caution: do not insist on this opening unless you are sure to defend your weak side carefully! Otherwise white can capture other pieces fairly quickly, and then cruise to victory.
One follow-up move is to bring the black queen out into the gap early, by Qf3. But if white moves Bc4, then d5 is considered the most effective response by black.
Beware of a Queen exchange forced by White, which destroys the ability of Black to castle.
