Irondale, Alabama

Irondale is a city in Alabama. It is a suburb of Birmingham, Alabama (located to the east-northeast near the airport).

Like Birmingham itself it was named for the iron deposits in the region.

Irondale is the headquarters of the Eternal Word Television Network, which is the predominant Catholic broadcasting network in the United States.
