Elad Edri, the expert teams mapped out compromised architectural infrastructure and conducted engineering assessments on approximately 1,300 damaged structures to ensure safe search, rescue, and recovery operations.[5] Reinforcements led by Brig.-Gen. Yossi Pinto expanded the mission to formulate and implement a comprehensive national reconstruction plan in coordination with Venezuelan interim authorities.[6]

Operation Good Neighbor (2016–2018)

Launched during the Syrian Civil War, this northern border initiative provided extensive humanitarian and medical aid to Syrian civilians directly affected by the internal conflict.[7] The operation facilitated cross-border medical treatment for over 4,000 Syrian nationals, including hundreds of children, while delivering tons of food, flour, clothing, and over 450,000 liters of fuel to support local infrastructure like bakeries and water wells.[8]

Conflict Zone Operations

Gaza Strip Aid Logistics

During military operations in the Gaza Strip, humanitarian logistics are overseen by COGAT, the Israeli Ministry of Defense unit tasked with implementing civilian policy and coordinating logistics.[9] Responsibilities include facilitating international aid truck convoys through security border crossings such as Kerem Shalom and Tarkumiya, establishing humanitarian corridors, and implementing temporary tactical pauses to safeguard the entry of food, medical supplies, fuel, and water.[9]

Israeli operational briefings emphasize that the volume of supplies facilitated systematically meets or exceeds defined humanitarian targets.[9] Delays and shortages reported inside the territory are primarily attributed to local distribution challenges, widespread lawlessness, and the looting or hijacking of convoys by armed factions.[9]
