Good, but I'm not sure that the fact of Taylor becoming president is so significant.

2. The whig party, it disappeared because the republican party absorbed it like how it absorbed pro life and tea party.

3. Dougles won the 1858 senate election beacause of his amazing speaking and debating skills along with how voteing was done for that race. Lincon won the 1860 presidential election because he was more what the people of america were looking for.

Great substance, need to work on spelling (4 words misspelled - minus 1).

4. All of the one term presidencies were caused by the tension from tariffs, slavery, and the econimy. When the president screwed up while in office that party would pick someone new that would attract both people from their party and the people from the opposing party.

Good analysis, with proper emphasis on the role of the economy (note spelling) in whether a president can win reelection. Also, your mentioning of the tariffs as one of the divisive issues is excellent.

5. I think the Civil War was inevitable but her book certainly helped to push things along by showing the northerners what was really going on it the south.

Right, but could explain further. (Minus 1)

8. No, the north had such an opposition to it and the south's econemy relyed on slaves. There would never be a way for the two halves to see eye to eye. They would never agree and eventually the war would have to start so that one side would finally win.

Right again, fix spellings (two words).
