Hermenegildo Bustos (Purisima, Guanajuato 1832 - Guanajuato 1907) Mexican painter, s. XIX. His works include portraits, still life paintings, masks for religious festivals, retables and a collection of painted records of comets and eclipses.

The city of Purisima de Bustos, Guanajuato, near Leon, is named after the Immaculate Conception, and after Hermenegildo Bustos, as the artist was born in the city.
