HOV lanes

High Occupancy Vehicles lanes are lanes on a limited access highway that are reserved for use by car pools, motorcycles and in some cases hybrid cars. Some lanes are designated HOV-2, which means that at least two people must be in each car, and other lanes are designated HOV-3, which requires at least three people.
