The Great Books Academy is a homeschool and charter school organization that provides a liberal arts curriculum based on the great works of Western civilization.[1] The Academy was greatly influenced by the work of Dr. Mortimer J. Adler. Its current president is Max Weismann.

Great Books Academy is not a true school and is not accredited. However, it also offers online classes, which have been recommended for college credit by the American Council on Education.[2]

Great Books Academy offers curricula for the whole educational spectrum, from nursery school level through high school. Its curricula consist primarily of the classical works, but for certain subjects such as science, modern textbooks are also used.[3]
