Grants Pass is a conservative city in Southwest Oregon located just off Interstate 5 northwest of Medford, Oregon. It is the county seat of conservative Josephine County, Oregon.

It ranks among the most conservative American cities and is a conservative bastion in contrast with liberal Portland, Salem and Eugene, Oregon. Grants Pass voters voted in large majority for Republican candidates in the 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012 presidential elections.[2]
