Global South

The Global South is UN terminology for what was formally referred to as the Developing World and Third World. In the business and finance fields, the developing world was also known as Emerging Markets. In the geopolitical sphere, much of the Global South also constituted the Non-aligned Nations in Cold War I and Cold War II.
