Glenn Loury

Glenn Loury is an American academic economist tenured at Brown University. A fiscal and, up to a point, social conservative, he is best known as host of The Glenn Show at <https://bloggingheads.tv> where his regular guests include journalist and author Heather Mac Donald, Penn State U law professor Amy Wax, Boston U economist Laurence Kotlikoff and, most frequently of all, Colombia professor of linguistics and author John H. McWhorter (when, by trope, Loury and McWhorter style themselves "the black guys of Bloggingheads TV.") In Fall 2021 Loury addressed ("Whose fourth of July?") an alacritous National Conservatism Conference to argue powerfully and passionately that black Americans "must seize equal status" by their own endeavors.
