Giancarlo Gramolazzo
Father Giancarlo Gramolazzo is an Italian Roman Catholic priest who serves as an exorcist. He is the current president of the International Association of Exorcists.[1]
He helped Father Gabriele Amorth in a 1999 exorcism of a nineteen-year-old woman. The next day the same woman who appeared at the Vatican underwent another exorcism performed by Pope John Paul II.
In September 2004, in Mexico City, Mexico, Father Gramolazzo addressed more than five hundred participants including exorcist priests from various dioceses in the country at the annual meeting of the International Association of Exorcists.
Father Gramolazzo stated that, "To defend oneself from evil in daily life it is enough to be consistent with the Gospel, not to be afraid to witness to one's faith and to take care of one's relationship with God."[2]
In 2007, Father Gramolazzo explained how exorcism works by pointing to a crucifix and saying, "It is He who is exorcising, not me. I loan my body. Jesus is the first exorcist. It is the Lord in the first person who showed us that he wins against evil."[3]
