Fantastic Four is a 2005 superhero film directed by Tim Story, written by Michael France and Mark Frost and starring Ioan Gruffudd as Mr. Fantastic, Jessica Alba as the Invisible Woman, Michael Chiklis as the Thing, Chris Evans as the Human Torch and Julian McMahon as Doctor Doom. It is based on the influential Marvel Comics franchise by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. The film is pro-American, where the American heroes deliver the Latverian villain back to his home country. Some characters use God’s name in vain. A blind woman named Alicia Masters believes that God is a woman. The film portrays womanizing in a negative light according to a deleted scene. The film received mixed to negative reviews but that and it’s sequel have gained a cult following for keeping the family dynamics from the comics. It was followed by Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer in 2007.
