Marilyn and Phyllis: Victims of the Deep State
(an essay welcoming contributions by others)
Marilyn Monroe and Phyllis Schlafly were nearly the same age, and both were pro-life in a culture that was pro-abortion. Both were from poor backgrounds, and grew up during the Great Depression. Both felt the liberal media would distort what they said, and who they are. Both were misunderstood, perhaps deliberately so, by liberals. Both had an admiration for baseball.
Ultimately, the Deep State became hostile to both, and may have been complicit in the death of Marilyn Monroe. Meanwhile, the Deep State blocked Phyllis Schlafly from any high-level position in Washington, D.C., even though she had clearly earned it as recounted in Mrs. America.
Both Marilyn and Phyllis had a good, loyal friend in common: the pro-life actress Jane Russell.
Both have had controversial biopics made about them.
Both were more intelligent than the liberal media assumed.
Differing approaches to the pro-life issue
Both wanted to have more children. Marilyn Monroe was unable to have any children despite wanting to have some. There is speculation about one or more abortions having been forced upon her.
