Dora the Explorer is an animated educational cartoon broadcast to English-speaking preschoolers which ran over eight seasons between 2000 and 2015. The tomboyish title character uses a map and a magic backpack to find places and help people. Viewers learn English vocabulary and a smattering of Spanish.
