Dirk Kempthorne is a former Secretary of the Interior from George W Bush's Cabinet. Before becoming the 49th Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior, Kempthorne served nearly two terms as Governor of Idaho, elected first in 1998 and reelected in 2002. He also served as United States Senator from 1993 to 1999. He was replaced by Ken Salazar.
