Debate:Should people genetically engineer a cure for homosexuality

No
I think it would be incorrect to say that homosexuality is a "mental illness", and even if it were, personal liberty should always be taken into account. I don't think that any homosexuals want to be "cured", and if they do, and someone could make a cure, then let the gays decide. If the cure is genetically engineered, then I would say definitely no, because messing with fetuses is pretty controversial.
No, not that important
Takes millions or even billions of dollars research. Would be better spent researching cure for disease like Sickle-cell anemia, Huntington's, or Cystic fibrosis.--IluvAviation (talk) 17:25, 7 May 2017 (EDT)
Yes
This would be more efficient than conversion therapy. Toby Chester (Toby Chester) 17:00, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
