DeSoto State Park

DeSoto State Park, part of the Alabama State Park system, spans across 3,502 acres and is located eight miles northeast of Fort Payne, Alabama. The Civilian Conservation Corps developed DeSoto State Park in the late 1930s. DeSoto Falls, a regionally-known waterfall located near Mentone, Alabama, is part of DeSoto State Park.[1]
