Dalton's Law of Partial Pressures
From Conservapedia
Dalton's law of partial pressures states that when two or more ideal gases are mixed together, the total pressure (P) of the mixture is equal to the sum of the pressures of each individual gas.[1] Represented mathematically:
- Ptotal = P1 + P2 + P3 + ... + Pn
The pressure of an individual gas can be found if the total pressure and concentration (yi) are known:
- Pi = XiPtotal
