The clipboard function of computers stores text or pictures or data; see copy and paste.

Information can be copied to the invisible clipboard, or it can be deleted and copied at the same time; see cut and paste.

There are two sections to the clipboard. The main section responds to explicit cut and copy commands. The other is used in drag and drop operations.

It's therefore possible to copy or move two separate pieces of information at the same time, with the clipboard.

A clipboard is also a tool to hold papers using a clip attached to a board.
