Clinton v. City of New York

In Clinton v. City of New York, the U.S. Supreme Court invalidated Line Item Veto Act because it specifically violated the U.S. Constitution's Presentment Clause. More generally, though the Court did not rely on this basis, the Act also violated the separation of powers doctrine.
