Eugene Clay Shaw, Jr. (born April 19, 1939), served as a Republican U.S. Representative from Florida's 22nd congressional district from 1981 through 2007, until he was defeated for reelection by Democrat Ron Klein during the 2006 midterm elections. During his tenure he was the second most senior Republican on the House Ways and Means committee. Previously, Shaw worked in the legal practice as an associate municipal judge and later a city commissioner.
