Socialism is not an alternative to capitalism. Socialism only transfers the ownership of capital (by coersion, theft, or murder) from one group of owners to another. RobS^{Free Kyle!} 01:57, 23 May 2021 (EDT)

Also, wouldn't pretty much everyone in the US be considered a capitalist even if that weren't the case? Even if they want communism, they live in free market capitalism. --DavidB4 ^(TALK) 03:09, 23 May 2021 (EDT)

That's been true forever. Even in the age of Neanderthals, their only means of survival was not to consume everything they produced. They had to have something leftover from today's labor (i.e. profit) for tomorrow's hunt or planting season. RobS^{Free Kyle!} 03:46, 23 May 2021 (EDT)

The clothes you wear, the shelter you live in, is the result of your labor. And most people ("we are the 99%") only source of capital is their labor. Socialism provides no alternative to these facts.
