Carrot
From Conservapedia
The carrot is an edible root of the daucus carota plant. They are usually orange in color yet the "white carrot" is actually the parsnip. The carrot is a tuberiform. Carrots can be eaten raw or cooked, and are low in calories and high in nutrients, especially Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and beta carrotene. They are a healthy lunch snack to give children instead of cookies or chips. Carrots are also a favorite food of several rodents and small mammals, such as rabbits and gophers.
