Brian Quintenz is the pro-gambling nominee in 2025 to become Chairman of the CFTC. He is expected to allow Kalshi to offer gambling products under the guise of event contracts which the CFTC ostensibly regulates, but would allow Kalshi to sell while ignoring state laws limiting gambling.

Quintenz has been a board member of Kalshi.
