Blackpool is a seaside town located on the coast of Lancashire in the United Kingdom. It is best known for it's many unique tourist attractions which include the Blackpool Tower, three piers and the Pleasure Beach amusement park which had, for a while, the tallest, fastest and steepest roller coaster in the world.

In recent years, Blackpool's residential areas have come to prominence for being among the most deprived in the UK; as reported in The Telegraph in 2021, the parliamentary constituency of Blackpool South ranked among the highest in the UK for issues such as bad heath, substance abuse, obesity, low academic achievement and unemployment.[1] In 2020/21, Blackpool had the highest number of alcohol-related hospital admissions in the Lancashire lieutenancy area.[2]
