Annualize

To annualize is to calculate the impact of a new appropriation or reduction on the basis of a full year. For instance, if an employee is terminated halfway through the fiscal year, the budget reduction in that year will equal half the employee's annual salary. The "annualized" reduction is the full amount of the employee's salary.
