Andy Pettitte

Andrew "Andy" Eugene Pettite is a former starting pitcher for the New York Yankees, who played 18 seasons in the major leagues. Pettitte was selected by the Yankees in the 22nd round of the June 1990 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft after graduating from Deer Park (Texas) High School.[1] As of the middle of 2007 season he had the career stats of 199 wins and 112 losses with a 3.81 ERA and 1834 strikeouts.

Pettitte helped win five World Series championship titles: 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2009.

From 2004 to 2006 he played with the Houston Astros and was a starter in the team's 2005 World Series.

Pettitte retired from Major League play after the 2013 season.
