AlphaZero is the best computer chess player in the world, built using a self-teaching algorithm whereby it improves by playing itself over and over. AlphaZero uses game-playing Artificial intelligence developed by Google-run DeepMind.

It reportedly taught itself how to play chess in less than four hours, and then defeated the computer chess champion Stockfish 8 in a 100-game match.[1]

Since 1997 computer chess players have been able to defeat the best human players.
