Albert Pujols

Albert Pujols is a Christian Major League Baseball player from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He is currently with the Los Angeles Dodgers, and formerly played with the Saint Louis Cardinals and the Los Angeles Angels.

Foundation

Albert and his wife, Deidre, started the Pujols Family Foundation in 2005, which benefits " people with (a) Down syndrome (b) disabilities and/or life threatening illnesses as well as (c) children and families living in impoverished conditions in the Dominican Republic."[1] Albert's daughter Isabella (Deidre's daughter by a prior relationship, who Albert later formally adopted) has Down's syndrome.[2]
