Air crash

An air crash is when an airplane, helicopter or other flying machine somehow crashes, usually resulting in loss of life. It can be a mid-air collision, a crash into high terrain such as a mountain, or a crash into the ground. It is usually caused by one of these things:

• Bird strike
• Engine failure
• Low visibility
• Fuel lines or fuel freezing
• Terrorist hijacking
• Poor communication with other aircraft or air traffic controllers
