IMDb profile |
Ace Ventura: Pet Detective is a 1994 comedy film starring Jim Carrey. It won two awards in the first-ever Blockbuster awards.[1] Jim Carrey stars as Ace Ventura who is an animal lover and detective. However, is not one of those pesky liberal "animal rights" activist or anything like that. On the contrary, he is closer to conservation rather than environmentalism, finding beloved lost or stolen pets to return to their human owners. The ending of the film features a very politically incorrect condemnation of the homosexuality agenda, as the villain is a transgender, and when Ace Ventura realizes he made out with a biological male, completely throws up, as does everyone else when they realize the truth. It was followed by a sequel, an animated Saturday morning TV series and a spin-off film sequel.
