Our current policy is to limit blocks to 6 months after other measures have been taken for abuse. Sure, sometimes a block exceeding 6 months is warranted, however you should consult an Admin. Page lock and other methods can be employed. Even cases of non-profane vandalism do not always require the maximum 6 month block without warning. Warnings can and should be issued. In the recent case where you alleged a sockpuppet repeat offender, and issued a one year block, assuming you had good cause, the block should be limited to 6 months. Most of the senior admins don't respond as fast as the vandals can vandalize. I originally made this account so I could undo vandalism faster, but I would be stuck edit warring with the vandals until someone with blocking capabilities eventually responded and blocked the Vandal. The kind of people who just want to deface pages and mess with this site are pretty obvious, especially that one who wants to deface the J6 protest and Donald Trump articles to push the MSM narrative. Me personally, I am very much aware of how the vandals, and organized vandals, operate. In the case we are referring to now about three vandal attacks on the Trump page, you could hand out 6 month blocks based upon your reasonable suspicion they originate with the same gang of coordinated attacks. However after strike two or three, you then can approach an Admin and request a (probably temporary) page lock. I try to stay on top of this stuff, but can't always be everywhere at once. So I need your help. Please stay within the blocking guidelines, and demonstrate good faith that you want to help build the user base. Thank you.
