The wedge strategy

  • has been called a political and social action plan.[1]
  • authored by the Center for the Renewal of Science & Culture
  • concerned with the advent of Western materialism that (it claims) has no moral standards. The major premise is that evolution has caused this erosion of values it sees in materialism. It claims that "materialists... undermined personal responsibility". In response to this it would "seek nothing less than the overthrow of materialism and its cultural legacies".

The wedge document outlines three phases to achieve this: Scientific Research, Writing & Publicity; Publicity and Opinion-making; Cultural Confrontation & Renewal.
