The Hundred Days was the brief period in 1815 during which Napoleon escaped from Elba and grabbed power over France. In June 1815, Prussia and Great Britain defeated Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo, and Napoleon was shipped to the island of St. Helena where he died.
