That does not change the cosmologic fact that we are one of billions of solar systems, so cosmologically not particularly significant. That bit about a leftist-atheist philosophy is out of place, I believe. It is how some people see evolution our place in the universe and how they see the lack of purpose in evolution, but it's not a definition of evolution per se.
