The '''Steubenville rape case''' was a notable sexual assault case where the Democratic Party in power (Sheriff, District Attorney) refused to hold an African American teenager and his accomplice accountable for child rape. It was only when state Republican officials (Attorney General Mike DeWine) intervened, justice was served against the perpetrators. Even still, due to lax juvenile justice regulations that have been promulgated by the Democrats, the individuals will only serve between 1 to 2 years in juvenile jail.
