Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, known also as just Episode I, is a science fiction film released in 1999. The film deals with the early years of Anakin Skywalker, who will grow up to become Darth Vader, as well as a young Obi-Wan Kenobi, in his days as an apprentice to Qui-Gon Jinn.

Trivia

  • Many child actors auditioned for the role of Anakin Skywalker. Among theme were Justin Berfield (Malcolm in the Middle) and Michael Angrarano. Berfield's audition tape and Angrarano meeting with George Lucas can be seen in the extras for the Episode I DVD/Blu-Ray.
  • This is the first film in which C-3PO does not appear in the closing scene of the movie. It is also the only movie where Anthony Daniels does not wear a suit.
