A seminar is typically defined as being a small group of students engaged in original research or intensive study under the guidance of an instructor who meets regularly with them to discuss their reports and findings. An alternative meaning for a seminar is a meeting or conference established for an exchange of ideas.[1]
A seminar does not have to be held in-person, and the term webinar has come into use to represent a seminar where all of the participants interact online.
