Mitch Landrieu(born 1960) is the current Lieutenant Governor of Louisiana.[1] He is of the Demoractic Louisiana Landrieu clan which has had other politicians such as his father Maurice Edwin Landrieu who was the mayor of New Orleans and Mary Landrieu who is the current senior Senator from Louisiana. Mitch Landrieu has a law degree from Loyola University. He made an unsuccessful bid for mayor of New Orleans in 1993, then was elected Lieutenant Governor in 2003 and made another unsuccessful bid for Mayor in 2006.
