Mint

Mint is the common name given to herbs of the genus Mentha. Mint, which is often used in cooking, is known for its strong, refreshing and easily recognisable flavour; sweets made using either spearmint or peppermint oil are popular worldwide. Mint plants are durable, and will grow in a variety of conditions.[1]

The word "mint" also refers to a factory which manufactures coins and other currency. An example is the United States Mint, in Philadelphia.
