Mark Lunsford Pryor (born January 10, 1963) is a Democratic former United States Senator from Arkansas, with service from 2003 to 2015. He was defeated in his bid for a third term in 2014 by the Republican Tom Cotton.
His father, David Pryor, held this same Senate seat from 1979 to 1999. David Pryor was also an earlier governor of Arkansas from 1975 to 1979, when he entered the Senate and was succeeded as governor by Bill Clinton. From 1991 to 1995, he was a state representative and from 1999 to 2003, he was his state's attorney general.
