Event horizon

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Ed Poor (Talk | contribs) at 12:46, July 16, 2009. It may differ significantly from current revision.

The event horizon, in theoretical physics, is the boundary of a black hole at which nothing can escape, not even light. At this distance from the black hole's center, the escape velocity equals the speed of light, so not even light can get out.
