A Canadian passport is a legal document and form of identification issued by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). It is one of the most powerful passports issued in the world, allowing holders to enter 114 countries without a visa as of 2018.[1]

This passport is exclusively issued to Canadian citizens, and this includes those who hold dual citizenship, who would have a passport from another country in addition to the Canadian passport. One can receive a passport book or an e-passport. [2]

In addition to letting people change the gender listed on their passport to the one opposite their biological gender, Canada introduced "gender neutral" passports in 2017.[3]
