Luke was a Greek doctor who wrote the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles. Unlike the other authors of the Gospels, Luke did not observe the events of Jesus's life first hand, but relied upon eyewitness accounts from others. Since Luke was a highly educated man, his gospel is very detailed and comprehensive.
