Saturday is the seventh day of the week. The name is derived from the word for one Roman god, Saturn.
Jews and some Christians (notably Seventh-Day Adventists)consider Saturday to be the day of the Sabbath. Due to the long timespan since the command was given to Moses and inaccuracies in the pre-leap-year calendar, the correct day is no longer known with certainty <rolls eyes>.
