Freedom fries

The terms "Freedom Fries" (and "Freedom Toast") were created in 2003 to replace French fries, to express dismay with France by Republicans Bob Ney and Walter B. Jones. The Congressional Cafeterias changed the name back to French fries in 2006. [1]
