1926 Midterm Elections

In the midterm elections of 1926, The Democratic Party gained a minimal 9-seats from the Republican Party in the U.S. House of Representatives. With the economy prosperous, Republicans retained a clear 41-seat majority. The results were more dramitic in the U.S. Senate, with Democrats gaining six seats. Republicans kept a bare 48-47 seat majority.
