A city in Yorkshire, York was founded by the Romans as Ebadlun. The Vikings renamed it Yorvick, whence the contemporary name stems. York is one of the few remaining walled cities in England.

In addition to the medieval defensive wall, YORK is also known for

  • York Minster, the 2nd largest church in Northern Europe
  • The National Railway Museum, The world's LARGEST Railway museum
  • York Railway station, known for it's architecture
